Features FAQ

It's not writer's block.
Your story has outgrown your tools.

Your notes app is a graveyard of good ideas. You've got a doc just to organise links to other docs. You hit the free limit on your whiteboard and you're pretty sure you've killed the same character twice.

Try Woven, the connected platform where writing and thinking happen together.

Everything below is built.
Our first founding writers are already inside.

Your world, alive within your draft.

Turn static sheets for characters, locations, lore or whatever your story needs into a custom, living library. Define the collections that matter to you and weave them across your entire project arc. Change a detail and it updates immediately, everywhere.

Woven strands panel

See your story through any lens.

Filter your story to a single character, location, or any Strand you've built and watch everything else fall away. Sort what remains by chapter, timeline, or your own order. Combine filters to surface relationships — the slow-building tension between two characters, every scene in a city, a villain's arc from their first appearance to their last.

Woven sequence view

Bind any arc or your full manuscript.

Review an arc seamlessly. Hand your readers or editor only the chapters they need. Read through your novel from start to finish. In one click, combine whatever you're looking at in the sequence into a clean export or shareable read link.

Woven Bind

See your story from above.

Step back from the prose and work at the level of your story's shape. View your manuscript as a card grid or a table — whichever helps you think. Rearrange chapters by dragging. Rewrite at the synopsis level without touching a word of prose. Surface any metadata you've set across every scene at once.

Woven cards view

Catch ideas before they disappear.

No more jotting ideas down in your notes app. Park loose threads the moment they arrive and drag them into your sequence when the moment is right.

Woven dashboard

Where your story takes shape visually.

Map out the thoughts you don't have the words for yet. Drag and drop your characters, locations and drafts onto a freeform canvas alongside notes and pictures — sketch a family tree, map out relationships, pin locations, and whatever else your world demands.

Why I'm building Woven.

I'm a product designer,
marketer and writer.

Tired of stumbling through a cobbled stack to weave my thoughts together. Woven is the first platform that understands that the story you set out to write is an entirely different one than what you publish. That characters can wander down paths you didn't expect and sometimes the structure you planned is entirely wrong.

Ideas come as I move through the world (both real and imagined) and I discover more as I pull on each thread. Managing the world building for my first high fantasy broke that. Every tool I found assumed structure came first and serious writing happened at a desktop. I didn't even have one.

That's how Woven was born.
